The TKSC-SOEC80 electro-thermal synergistic catalyst evaluation system is a solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) experimental platform that combines the synergistic effects of electric and thermal fields for the efficient electrolysis of H2O/CO2 to produce H2/CO, which is the inverse reaction of SOFC. The system investigates the influence of electro-thermal coupling effects on electrolysis performance and optimises catalyst materials and operating parameters by precisely controlling temperature, voltage and gas composition. This SOEC evaluation system is scientifically designed and comprehensively functional, capable of meeting a wide range of testing needs from materials research to system integration. With the high-precision control and multi-functional test modules, it can provide reliable data support for SOEC performance optimisation and commercial application.
Photoelectrothermal multi-field coupled catalysis has potential in environmental treatment (e.g. efficient degradation of pollutants), energy conversion (e.g. CO2 reduction, water decomposition), and chemical synthesis. For example, in CO2 reduction, light provides excitation energy, electricity helps electron transfer, and heat promotes reactant activation, and the combination of the three may improve product selectivity and reaction rate; photo-thermal coupling for electro-synthesis of ammonia. Catalytic special fixture module for electrothermal systems
1.Function: Catalysing H2O/CO2 electrolysis reaction under the synergistic effect of high temperature and electric field.
2.SOEC single cell: electrolyte: YSZ or GDC film (thickness 10-30 μm). Cathode (fuel electrode): Ni-YSZ, Ni-CeO2-YSZ or Co-Fe chalcogenide. Anode (oxygen electrode): LSCF or LSM.
3.catalyst modification: loading nanocatalysts (e.g. CeO2, Co3O4) on the cathode surface by impregnation method.
4. Gradient pore structure: optimise gas diffusion and reactivity.
5. Nano-catalyst: to enhance the electrocatalytic activity.

Users can choose one or more kinds of special fixtures for electrothermal catalysis according to their needs.
1.Half-cell SOEC cell fixture, effective diameter φ12, area 1cm2, mainly analysing the performance of working electrode;
2.Tube type SOEC cell fixture, effective diameter φ12, area 1cm2, can analyse the performance of cathode and anode catalysts respectively;
3.Plate-type all-ceramic SOEC fixture, effective specification 20*20mm square, area 4cm2, all-ceramic system can avoid the influence of undesirable elements within the metal, the gas flow channel design without dead angle, to achieve efficient gas-solid reaction, the collector adopts platinum mesh, the contact area is large, the contact resistance is extremely small;
Plate quartz SOEC fixture, effective specifications 20 * 20mm square, area 4cm2, can achieve the catalyst evaluation under the photoelectric thermal system.
